In-Season One-on-One and Small Group Training 

The Gary Roberts High Performance Centre offers exclusive In-Season One-on-One

Training Programs for Junior athletes age 11-18.  Each workout is personalized and based on the needs of the player, focusing on correction, sport specific movements and body maintenance. Athletes can expect to sustain lean muscle mass during the hockey season, as well as a high level of power, joint mobility and dynamic core strength which helps to prevent injuries and retain quickness deep into the playoffs.

Customization:

Each program begins with an in-depth fitness assessment of the athlete including movement patterns, strength and muscle imbalances.  From these results and follow-up assessments, a customized program is developed, adjusted and monitored by Gary Roberts and his team of professionals.

The Personalized Program:

  • One training session per week built into the athlete’s busy schedule
  • High quality dynamic warm ups and corrective exercises
  • Pre-game preparation strategies
  • Strength, balance, endurance and agility training
  • Sport and position specific conditioning
  • Effective cool down & stretch routines
  • An In-Season Nutrition Tip Sheet developed by Gary Roberts
  • A consultation with a Holistic Sports Nutritionist at Nature’s Emporium (the GTAs leading natural and organic market and grocer)

Off-Season 1-on-1 and Small Group Training

The Gary Roberts High Performance Centre offers exclusive Off-Season 1-on-1

and Small Group Training Programs for Junior athletes aged 11-18 years.  Each workout is personalized based on the needs of the athlete and focusing on correction, sport specific movements and athleticism.  Athletes can expect to make significant gains in strength, speed, agility, power, late game endurance and overall conditioning.

Customization:

Each program begins with an in-depth fitness assessment of the athlete including movement patterns, strength and muscle imbalances.  From these results and follow-up assessments, a customized program is developed, adjusted and monitored by Gary Roberts and his team of professionals.

The Personalized Program:

  • 2 – 3 Training Sessions per week
  • Focused dynamic warm ups and corrective exercises
  • A three-phased program:
  1. Corrective & postural
  2. Strength & power
  3. Speed & endurance
  • Sport and position specific conditioning
  • Effective cool down and stretch routines
  • An Off-Season Nutrition Tip Sheet
  • A consultation with a Holistic Sports Nutritionist at Nature’s Emporium (the GTAs leading natural and organic market and grocer)
