The Gary Roberts JUNIOR Off-Season Training Program is a three-phased,  customized training program that combines nutritional guidance and professional coaching in a systematic approach designed to help Junior players make huge gains in strength, power, speed and agility  in preparation  for their upcoming season.

Gary’s philosophy is to build a  strong foundation to carry players  through their season and into the most important part of the year, the playoffs. This program is built on personal experience, a team of professionals and a passion for player development and for helping young athletes to reach their physical potential.

The Juniors Warming Up

The Training Program:

  • A three-phased customized training program with re-evaluations throughout the summer to track progress
  • 3  training sessions per week in June, 5 training sessions per week in July & August at the Gary Roberts High Performance Centre located in the Fitness Institute
  • BioSteel supplements during and after each workout
  • Quality spring water provided during workout
  • A take-away program for body maintenance throughout the hockey season
  • Locker and daily Laundry Service provided

Nutritional Guidance:

  • Customized nutritional information package developed by Gary Roberts
  • Meal planning and recipe suggestions
  • Daily post workout meal in the Club restaurant prepared by Nature’s Emporium

Professional Coaching:

  • All workouts are conducted by High Performance Trainers hand-picked to be part of the Gary Roberts Team.
  • Programs and Workouts monitored by Gary Roberts.
  • All Fitness Testing is conducted by Lorne Goldenberg, a Professional Strength & Conditioning Coach who  brings with him extensive experience in the area of peak performance training with professional and elite amateur athletes including many NHL Teams and players.  His expertise has also been utilized at the CFL, CIS and OHL levels over the past 25 years.

Program Outline:

  • June 4th – June 30th 2012: 3 one-hour training sessions per week
  • July 2nd – August 31st 2012: 5 one-hour training sessions per week
