SPORT MEDICINE is a comprehensive and holistic discipline that addresses health and wellness issues involving physical activity and sport. Sport Medicine specialists are physicians who have acquired expertise and certification in the care of active individuals. Many Sports Medicine doctors have a background in Family Medicine, which trains them to assess the whole patient, throughout all stages of life. Particular areas of expertise include exercise prescription, injury evaluation and treatment, disease prevention and treatment through physical activity and health promotion through exercise. Sport Medicine physicians may also have expertise in nutrition and lifestyle issues, such as stress management. These skills often bridge the gap between the Family Physician and the Orthopedic Surgeon or other specialists.
PHYSIOTHERAPY The heart of physiotherapy is in understanding how and why movement and function take place. Physiotherapists analyze the impact of injury, disease or disorder. They promote, restore and prolong physical independence by enhancing a functional capacity of the patient.

LOW INTENSITY LASER THERAPY is the application of light that accelerates healing by restoring normal cell function. It jump-starts the body’s natural process by sending energy into the muscles and joints that’s then transformed into biochemical energy. LILT triggers the release of endorphins, morphine-like substances that inhibit the sensation of pain. It also increases the formation of new blood vessels. This is non-invasive, painless and highly effective healing tool for children and adults.
