Farhan Dhalla integrates his diverse background to create an all-encompassing approach to rehabilitation and fitness. From postural assessment to power yoga, step workouts to indoor cycling, Farhan is a well-rounded therapist who is known for his versatility. He is a Reebok Master Trainer, Can-Fit-Pro certified Personal Trainer and has presented throughout Canada, the US, Australia, and Finland. Farhan has also been a guest of numerous television shows nationwide as a fitness expert and can be seen daily on the “In Shape with Sharon Mann Show” on Canadian Learning Television in Canada and Fit TV in the United States and Caribbean. Dr. Villerma D’Ugo completed an Honours Bachelors of Arts degree and a Masters of Arts degree at the University of Toronto. She then obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She is a member in good standing of the Canadian Chiropractic Association, the Ontario Chiropractic Association and the College of Chiropractors of Ontario. She is passionate about her profession and enjoys working with her patients to provide comprehensive care. She has experience working with a diverse population of patients, including elite athletes. She was the chiropractor for Skate Canada at the National Qualifying Challenge in 2004. Dr. D’Ugo also has extensive experience working with children, pregnant and elderly individuals, and those involved in motor vehicle accidents. Dr. D’Ugo receives great satisfaction in guiding her patients towards maximizing their health and wellness. In 2005, she was the recipient of the “People’s Choice” Gold Medal Award for “Best Chiropractic Center” in the North York Mirror.

Nicole Benjamin, BSc. Kin., MSc.PT.

Nicole Benjamin, BSc. Kin., MSc.PT.

 

Nicole received a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2009. Previously, she completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health Science and a certificate in Fitness Assessment from York University. Nicole has experienced working in a variety of healthcare settings in recent internships in inpatient as well as outpatient care. She has a keen interest in orthopaedics and sports physiotherapy and enjoys working with athletes and non-athletes alike.

Nicole has completed the Level I Manual Therapy course from the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and plans to continue with further post-graduate courses in manual therapy and sports physiotherapy. Nicole is an athlete herself and has been a member of both York University and the University of Toronto’s varsity track and field teams. Nicole’s treatment approach combines her background in exercise and sport with her knowledge of physiotherapy to help her patients reach their full potential. In her spare time, she enjoys running, basketball and playing the piano.

Yaro Polowianiuk has been a Fitness Institute favorite for years. He is a Registered Massage Therapist dedicated to help you relax, re-align and rejuvenate. Yaro believes that there are many positive aspects to receiving massage therapy on an ongoing basis, and with the busy lives we lead, we can all benefit from a little stress-management. Yaro is an experienced therapist devoted to provide exceptional care by designing an effective customized massage treatment to address your individual needs. Yaro is certified in Electric Therapeutic Point Stimulation (ETPS) used for immediate musculoskeletal pain relief.

Michael Verbovsky started his massage career in Russia in 1990, specializing in sport massage. Michael came to Canada in 2001has been a Registered Massage Therapist and member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario for 4 years. He graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy and obtained a Diploma with Honors for outstanding academic achievements. Michael has since been a team member of the Clinic for Sport Medicine. Michael effectively applies manual massage, lymph drainage, myofascial release therapy, deep tissue, and sport massage. Michael has also treated some of Canada’s top Olympic athletes.

Keya Osborne, BSc, RMT

Keya Osborne, BSc, RMT

 

Keya Osborne has been a Registered Massage Therapist for 4 years. A graduate of Elmcrest College in 2004, she first got her start at a multidisciplinary clinic, Via Italia Rehabilitation Center. Her primary patient base composed of auto accident, workplace injuries and long term rehabilitation patients. After two years in the clinical environment, she then broadened her scope and entered the spa industry in 2006, working for such high-end spas such as the Windsor Arms Spa and Shizen Spa. Keya joined the Fitness Institute team to further her experience and professional growth. Her massage experience consist of therapeutic, sport, deep tissue, pregnancy massage, myofascial release, trigger point release and hydrotherapy. Keya is originally from Montreal and has resided in Toronto for the past 7 years. She also has a BSc in Marketing from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.
